So Dinwiddie won the District. That means they are guaranteed a bid in the Central Region Tournament...correct?

Now the winner of the District tournament gets a bid to the Central Regional tournament as well..correct?

So if the District Winner, in this case Dinwiddie, wins the District tournament as well, then the runner-up would get the other bid to the Central Region tournament?

Today Prince George plays Dinwiddie in the first game.

Dale plays Mataoca in the 2nd game.

So if Dinwiddie beats Prince George, then the Dale vs Matoaca game is actually the game that decides who goes to the Regional Tournament...big game.

I like it.

If the tournament didn't allow you the chance to move on, the games wouldn't be nearly as fun.

But you have to reward the regular season winner.

You could go to a 16-team regional like the Northern Region, but to me that dilutes the significance of winning the regular season title too much. And 4 teams going to regionals out of a 7-team district would seem to make the regular season too easy to take lightly.
That makes sense as well. This way you keep both the regular season and tournament important. This makes sense so it probably will never come to be. I think all the districts need to use some common sense. This will also give one additional team (depending on how big the district is) an additional one or two games. I think it would be a win-win situation.
