Today the CFBL has announced that it will offer a JV League and Tournament for the upcoming Fall 2008 season. The teams will compete in a shortened fall league season and compete at the end in a double elimination JV tournament.
The CFBL has offered its 8th grade feeder division for the last 2 seasons and now the league is rapidly catching on with Central Florida High School Coaches that want to start developing their players earlier and help prepare them for high school ball.
The JV Division is being offered to help compensate for the massive fall off in summer and fall baseball at the high schools. With the decline of Varsity play due to travel ball and showcase tournaments (which are here to stay), the CFBL is bringing the excitement back to JV Baseball in the Central Florida Area. We will offer JV tournaments with webcast coverage and a fully functional online presence for each team. The CFBL did a great job with the 8th Grade League and now it is bringing quality back to the high school level too.
