Pat Haden certainly didn't sit back and wait. I really think the hiring of Haden as AD is going to do wonders for the Trojan Athletic program. It may take a little while, but it's going to happen. Frank Cruz was out at one of our games last week. He seems like a nice guy, and I wish him well in his interim basis for 2011. However, something tells me they're going to go for a high profile coach. Who knows? Maybe someone in the Trojan Family has more information?
I don't see Coach Cruz as a long term fix, USC will look to bring in a much bigger name coach to do the long term job of righting the program. Even though Coach Cruz has a background at USC but he did not do that well at LMU.

I don't think there will an issue of loosing your recruits, most will see this as a good move, question would be, will the new coaching staff in 2011-2012, look to bring in their own set of recruits.

Well Yeah... Why would the incoming coaching staff run with the guys that got the previous staff fired.

FOG- sending best wishes to your son and his teammates this season. Hope they have a great season.

CaBB, Thank you.Changes are always difficult.Esp. when returning from inujry. My son and the others are a great bunch of young men.It will take time to adjust, but many are going into this season with passion and dedication.Time will tell.
FOG -- Please extend our best wishes to your son as well for a successful season both on and off the ball field. We hope he is rehabing well.

As I know you know, the best thing he can do is just roll with the change, keep his focus on getting healthy & strong, keep hitting HR's in the classroom, give his all to Coach and team, and let the rest of it sort itself out.

FIGHT ON!
We've run into a few of the kids at or entering CSUN each of whom has a somewhat different situation and it is pretty obvious that a new coach is a cause for concern amongst the players whether they are new or well established. I can't see how it would be otherwise given the NCAA transfer penalties and some of the things that have happened in the past at various schools.
