Also, it would be good to know how many of the 14 committed players were scholarship offer commitments and how many were invited walk on players?   I guess if all things are broken down easily you have about 3 full scholarships to use for a signing class.   Perhaps in that 2021 class only 7 or 8 were extended 25% scholarships?

You would not know that information unless you were close to someone in the program.

You could follow the rosters that your player is interested in, that would be the players roster and game stats roster.

Actually, you can often discover the date of commitment by googling the name and "committed XXschool".  Most players or their organizations tweet this.

It's a lot of work, but if my son were considering a top baseball school, I would definitely be doing this.

Obviously you can't discover the scholarship amounts that way.

They were cut. Many were top recruits nationally. Several were immediately picked up by other P5s. At least one is a starter at his new school. Of the ones not here, I would say 3 “could” have been walk ons. Several were top 200 rankings, no way they walked on.

In terms of the 2027s, one is ranked number 88 nationally and neither are from our state or even close. I guess one could be a connection but that would be absolute speculation and doesn’t add up considering the other 2 I know about. I do know that a current player was asked by the RC to talk to a 27 to encourage him to commit before the rule change. He didn’t commit.

PG posts all of the D1 commitments up until 2027.

As a 2024 your son should have contacted programs of interest by this time. This should include his summer activity.

Not sure if the changes have anything to do with it but, my 2025 has had 5 new coaches (RCs) follow him on social media in less then 48 hours. These are coaches that there has not been any contact with in the past, but are at the same level where past interest has come from. Maybe they have already figured out a way to show interest without contacting. I mean "if" a coach was to go into a profile and take the time to like every one of the players game clip's that has been posted, that "could" show there is interest. Maybe...
