Charleston, SC...hotels/inns?

Any recommendations for the downtown Charleston area during the CABA tournament starting this weekend? Good place to stay..not too pricey and some must-see tips? Places to eat that you'd recommend? Thanks..my son is there already with his team and is really suffering in the heat...oh well.

You can't go wrong in Cahrleston. The eateries are amazing and y7ou should be able to find inexpensive hotels. I like the Hpliday Express. just pray there are no conventions going on. The last time I was there we had to search and got a great place for $50.
The people are so friendly it makes everything look even better.

What heat ?

We stayed at the Holiday Express on Northwood Bld. There are a lot of great inexpensive hotels around there and on Ashley Phosphate Rd whick crosses Northwood. It is a safe area and lots of eateries.
It can be hard to get a room during the summer. Lots of big conventions.
I invested in a GPS a year ago and it got me to all the parks. There is a team from here called Bullit Proof that is at the CABA this weekend. They are at the Quality Inn on Arco Rd.
