Charlie & Ray Tanner are class acts

That is what makes this game so great and especially college baseball.

They constantly come up with great inside stories every year at the CWS, and this is one of the best!

What a great story. Wouldn't it simply be awesome if one day Charlie got the chance to play for the Gamecocks? And do it in Omaha? Now that would be "Off the hook" as the kids say today.

I have known Ray for several years. Worked his camps when he was HC at NC State. He is a terrific guy.

You think NC State is kicking themselves for letting him get away? If they would have given his asst. coaches a raise he would have stayed.

I got to hear him at a clinic and was just down to earth guy. Talked to all kinds people in the hallway whereas most coaches are heading out the door once their commitment to speak is over.

Similar story to the original post but the last sentence in this one is just plain awesome.
