The Charlotte 49er Baseball program is holding its Summer Showcase Camp this August 29 & 30. This camp is designed for serious baseball players that have an interest in playing at the next level. The camp will be run by the 49er coaching staff. We will also have other area college coaches on hand to instruct. The current 49er roster has 14 players that have attended this camp in the past.
This camp is a fast paced camp that will provide players with the ability to learn from the coaches on hand as well as participate skill related activities. During the workout the coaches will be very “hands-on” instructing the players what each coach is looking for during BP, infield, outfield, and agility sessions. There will not be much sitting and waiting as the 49er Staff keeps this camp very small so each player gets a chance to work individually with the coaches.
On Sunday, the camp will be split into teams and games will be played. During this camp, pitchers will throw to hitters in a controlled scrimmage. Once the pitchers have thrown, the game will turn into a modified scrimmage. Again, due to the numbers at camp, we will have time for each camper to get multiple AB’s and play several positions so the coaching staff can see what each player’s strengths and weaknesses are.
This camp typically closes very quickly because the camp has a low cut off number of participants.
Sincerely,
Coach Hall
