Just got back from this great event and thought I might give you a recap of the events
Great Speakers--visit the website and you can see the entire schedule of topics and who's who of coaches speaking--no need to use bandwidth here

Some things of note from the event---
01-- all speakers put the emphasis on FUNDAMENTALS
02-- Leo Mazzone from the Braves was the highlight of the event-- packed room for him every speaking unit --standing room only
03-- Over 2000 coaches in attendance to listen, take notes and learn
04-- great variety of topics and speaking styles
05-- as usual the highlight for me was the Thursday 11 PM Rap Session chaired by Tony Guzzo from NC State and "Itch" Jones from the University of Illinois. One on One discussion of topics and exchange of ideas thrown on the floor by those of us in the audience-- GREAT STUFF--it ended at 2:30 PM
06--being able to speak with a great number of college coches in attendance and find out how some of our players are progressing in their program
Fot those Northeast Region coaches (Youth and HS) who did not attend SHAME ON YOU--- This event gives a unbelievable amount of information. I have my coaches there every year.

To anybody starting out if you develop the mindset to be a listener and be willing to respect the opinions of others even though you may not see it that way it will take you a long way.

I didnt make it to Cherry Hill , but was at Mohegan Sun last week at the World Baseball Coaches Convention.. Good information and a good setting for it. May want to try it for a change next year.

It was amazing to hear the speakers put the accent on the basics and fundamentals--- and to watch the audience taking notes --some even were video-taping the lectures

Cherry Hill Best You Can Be continues to be the coldest of days, ten years running.
2005 may be the coldest.
Pitching Coach Leo Mazzone was great (although may have misspoke when stating a 12 y/o throwing six innings and coming back on three days rest to throw six more innings).
Hitting Coach Bill Robinson was good.
The most interesting answer was Coach Mazzone (and a Maryland boy at that) when asked how does all those Braves pitchers get all that late movement. Answer; "Bear...it is natural"
Overall the event was good, yet there have been several better events in years past.
For those that went to both, ABCA in Nashville in 2005 was warmer...much warmer.
