Teen killed in head-on wreck while texting
Guess the knucklehead who fell in the drink was luckier than this girl.

Thanks guys, what a perfect set-up for many of us to show our boys. Get their attention with "funny" and then drive home a sobering lesson.
Awful about the teen driver. I fear we'll be hearing many more of these stories.

My 14U had an informal "meeting" the other day. 55 degrees & no wind After 2 hours and group kudo's the authority figure in charge told all the players they better be at the next "meeting" 30 mins early & he proceeded to show them what he would do to a cell phone that was on a player's person & buzzed during his "meeting". Only a few caught the slight of hand as he rifled an old flipphone against a concrete wall. Believe his point was made.
My intent was only a laugh. I WAS laughing out loud when I saw the mall video.
A college coach friend of mine turned a cell phone into itty bitty pieces when it rang in the dugout. He proceeded to inform his players after the game the only reason to need cell phone access during a game or practice is an ongoing emergency.quote:Originally posted by journey2:

The texter has retained an attorney. She will be suing the mall for humiliating her by posting the film on YouTube. Apparently the employees video'd the surveillance video with a cell phone and uploaded it to YouTube. The funny thing is if this woman hadn't retained an attorney and gone on national television no one would know who she is.
...and it keeps getting better. Apparently she has other legal problems. She's out on bail since 2009 after being charged with theft.. running up more than $5K on a fellow employee's credit card.
I try really hard not to wish bad things on anyone but when I saw she was going to sue...

Hahaha....Yea, heard about that...This story smells of something fishy...However, it's a funny video...Now it's even funnier if it turns out she did this as a set up to collect the loot for her legal troubles..
The plot thickens!
As for that teen girl, mine can get her permit any time she wants now and has started to ask to get hers and I was quick to show her the driver video. Hopefully, she gets it.
