If you know a kid who's worked with Bobby Tewksbary at AB Athletics in the past couple of years it's likely that kid spent some time working on hitting or talking about hitting with Chris Colabello, who was called up to the Minnesota Twins yesterday. Chris turns 30 in the fall. A few minutes ago he took his very first major league swing. (Lineout to right). This is a kid who toiled in non MLB afiliated leagues for the past seven or eight years. My guess is that other than Bobby and Chris, there weren't too many people out there who thought this would be possible. Sometimes players just won't listen when people tell them thay can't do something. Congrats to Chirs and congrats to Bobby who Chris credits for helping him find his swing.
