Chris Finwood Baseball Camps will be offering a Fall College Prep Camp to all those wanting to improve his game.
Our College Prep Camp will run just like a college practice teaching ODU drill sets that are used every day at ODU practice.
The College Prep Camp will touch base on actions and movements that college coaches like to see in players, teaching a player the proper way to go about getting seen at a camp. Working on proper infield mechanics, swing mechanics and proper arm swing for a pitcher.
Hitting, throwing, fielding and specific instruction are covered during each session by the coaching staff.
The purpose of our camp is to make every individual a better ball player. We successfully accomplish this by building on strengths as well as recognizing and improving areas of weakness.
Created specifically for high school players, campers will be given the opportunity to showcase their abilities in a pro style workout and in game situations for the camp staff. Camp personnel will include the ODU baseball staff.
Campers will get instructional from a positional coach. During the Defensive portion of camp players will break up into position specific work. Catchers with catching instructor, pitcher with pitching coach, outfielders with outfield coach.
During hitting session campers will get batting practice on field and learn drills used at ODU. Campers will get to work on drills in the cages with coaches watching and instructing.
