I know the program has not been very competitive but it plays in a very tough d2 conference. Does anyone have any information regarding the program, coaches, etc. and how far they are from being competitive

RJM, I posted it in 3 different forums as not everyone reads every forum available to read. Also, not sure what the harm is in listing a question in 3 different forums especially when each forum is potentially reaching a different audience.
Agreed, relax old-timer. No harm in posting in different forums as not everyone is a regular in each.

Just so you know ... Regardless of posting something once or three times it comes up in the list of recent posts on the right side of the screen. If you post something three times you have to check for responses in three places. If you post once all responses are consolidated in one place. The more responses consolidated in one place the more likely you are to get interaction and more and better feedback.
I am somewhat familiar with Christian Brothers as my son played for Delta State and we were in the same conference. A former graduate told me a couple of weeks ago that they only give out four scholarships total at this time and I believe the school may be fairly expensive so that may limit their talent pool somewhat. I felt they had improved this year and their ace pitcher was a good one who pitched a great 1-0 win in the conference tournament, I believe against Valdosta State. Their lack of depth in the pitching staff hurts somewhat and the team batting average was not too impressive. Their coach loves to sacrifice bunt, three and four times a game often in the very first inning against teams that have a lot of firepower. I would definitely see opportunities for a player that really swings the bat.
I have never been to their field but their own fans told me it is pretty rough and needs some work. As you said they are in a tough conference and in 2015 two more teams who had a two year waiting period, Union and Shorter will qualify for the eight team conference tourney with Lee eligible in 2016 making eleven teams striving for eight conference tourney spots. I also think they are one of the smallest enrollments in the Gulf South Conference. Having said all this, the school might be a good opportunity for early playing time for a talented young player.
Hi Three Bagger,
Really want to thank you for the reply, it was very helpful. I noticed that they brought in a new AD not too long ago wondering if this will signal the beginning of a bigger commitment to sports specifically baseball.
