IMHO, they have some of the best facilities in D3 since they are state funded institution.

Their tuition is around 1/2 of the other private D3's.

IMHO, they should contend for a USA-South title in ever sport year in and year out.
Thanks for the info. After checking into and reading up on CNU it appears that they are in contention in almost every sport every year. I also found out that it is tough to get into the school. As I understand it they had about 8400 apply and only accepted about 1200 students. That seems to be a pretty tough get into school vs some of the other schools in their conference.
I just got a "Supporter Letter" from CNU President Trible, that indicates for next year's freshman class, they've had 6,000 applications and admitted around 2,000. Of course, not all of those will accept but I'd expect the school size to be around 8,000 before too many years as additional dorms are under construction now. The average accepted SAT was 1207 and average GPA was 3.8. Bear in mind these are the averages, not required minimum. I'm confident that every member of the baseball team doesn't walk in with a 3.8/1207. Good grades are required, and athletes are considered for admission just like other students, although I think the coaches might a very few "close calls", meaning if an applicant is on the borderline between admission and non-admission, perhaps once a year the coach might get that one.

PM me with any questions, but a I can tell you my sons loved it as did my wife and I. Wonderful school, excellent education, beautiful campus, equally wonderful athletic facilities across the board. The baseball program is top notch, normally at or around the top of the USAS, and the conference is extremely competitive. (I do regret seeing Shenandoah leave next year for the ODAC as the SU-CNU rivalry in baseball has really blossomed.) The USAS was ranked as the toughest D III baseball conference in the country two years ago.

Our experience, two sons spanning 6 years, was near perfect.
