clarity on D2 schollys

Hi, I am still not clear on the D2 schollys and haven't found an answer on the boards. I know each school differs in how many they have funded to give out, but is the total $$ number full scholarship including room and board,or just tuition? i.e total money to give out to the team = (7 schollys x tuition/room/board money) OR (7 scholleys x tuition)? Thanks!

D2 schools may offer up to 9 equivalencies. An equivalency is room, board, tuition, fees, and $400 for books. Rules 15.5.2.1.1 and 15.5.2.2 in the D2 Manual.

Thanks, thats what I was looking for. I know every D2 is different, but in general, do you think they divide the money between the players pretty evenly, or give the majority of it to a select few? Also, do the upperclassmen/transfers usually get more than incoming freshman?

It is never distributed evenly! Pitchers and power hitters get the lions share, maybe a awesome shortstop that can hit for average. Then everyone else splits the rest of what is available. Some get zero.
