The CH has thousands to certify and maybe 5 people doing it!
We were worried about it also but his coach told him he was ready to go before he got there. I think he has a hot line or you can bet your bottom dollar the compliance people at his school was on the phone with them before he got there. You shouldn't worry about it, if you are, call teh compliance department at the school son will be attending.
Your sons should have been pre-qualified already, the final step is the final transcript stamped GRADUATED.
Still no final certification listed on-line and college orientation begins Saturday 8/19.

Call the baseball office or the compliance department of the school. I am sure all is ok.
Well, my son went to a BB meeting tonight at the college to sign various NCAA forms. Although the clearing house site showed that they received his final HS transcript in early June, my son is still not finally certified. He received preliminary certification during his junior year. Now the compliance officer says my son can't start practice next week because he doesn't have final certification. What to do now and who to ask? When one hits contact on the site, instead of an email address, you get a list of FAQ's that doesn't help this situation at all.
waynek, unfortunately you are experiencing one of the horror stories of the Clearinghouse. We hear about it affecting high-profile football players every fall.
If it's any consolation, they don't seem to play favorites.

...I bet it magically gets done between now and next Tuesday morning.
