My 2007's academic records have been reviewed by the clearinghouse and has qualified for D1 and D2. I am assuming that this is the end of it for now. He can begin practice and play without any further NCAA involvement. Obviously, this comes up every year as players must remain qualified.

Just as a note to 2008 parents. If your son has any room in his senior to take "electives"..although it looks like the new 2008 requirements pretty much leave out any room for non-core subject electives. My son's school required four years of religion. Luckily the clearinghouse recognized all those classes as core subjects. Please be sure that the elective COULD count as a core subject. Check the clearinghouse website as soon as you get your son's schedule of classes and be sure that every class is in the core subject category.
