Do the coaches of the colleges team pay any attention to Club Baseball?

I noticed Penn State's club team made the finals of the CB World Series. Their college team does not do very well, could some of these kids play on the college team, or is the level of play so different even with the top club teams?

I do know that when Clemson was caught short, they gave 2 club team members spots on the fall roster.
One didn't qualify for grades at end of semester, one played for a few years, bull pen catcher or late inning catcher, few at bats.

Baseball is baseball wherever you go, but I don't think that you can compare club baseball to any D1 college program, regardless of their record. If the skill level was there, they wouldn't be playing club ball. JMO.

IMHO you're basing your opinion on elite D1 programs but I also believe there are club players in this Country who could compete at those schools. I'll be willing to bet that every Nationally ranked club team has a couple players that could play baseball on a D1 scholarship somewhere. Some athletes choose to follow the academic path with club baseball as a sidelight instead of burning both ends of the candle with an NCAA program. It might be academic, it might be geographic, or whatever, but, there are clubbers out there who are more than worthy to play D1 baseball in this Country. JMO
