CMSU does have a very good program. I too did not like the camp. Not at all what I expected. The evaluation sheets we received were very vague, 3 kids from our team went and ironically we all got the same evaluation. Pitcher, infield and outfield. That told us not much thought was put into it. We were really looking forward to the camp because of the school's baseball reputation. For us it was a waste and seemed like nothing more than a fund raiser for the team.
CMSU has a good program from what I hear, but we are not familiar with their camp. I know of a few players that have played with them or are doing so now and have heard good things about the program. They had some good pitching this past year.

KU is an up and coming program under the guidance of Coach Ritchie Price, who is a first class individual. Coach Price previously took Cal-Poy from a D-2 Program to a D-1 Program. He is instituting big upgrades and improvments to the facilities at KU. KU is a good academic school and Lawrence is a nice town. Coach Price has done a lot of positive things with the program.

It is my understanding that Coach Price has somewhat modeled his camp after the Stanford camp. The similarity being that Coach Price has other schools in attendance, beside just KU. I'd double-check this because we've been out of the recruiting thing for a couple of years. But it was my understanding that there are several schools in attendance, if that is the case you could get more bang for your buck so to speak.
cmsu released 9 players and fired their two asst coaches after this 06 season. In these 9 were 2 redshirt freshman. The head coach told the team if they did not win regionals he was making cuts, they lost and this was his approach.Do your homework, the head coach's reputation in the area is terrible. This is his 4 year and he has cut players the last 2 years after the season.
Was not aware of CMSU situation that you have discussed, as we have been removed a couple of years from recruiting process and only researched and did our "homework" with D-1 programs.
Our CMSU info was based on what some other folks we knew associated with program experienced. I hope this is not the case, as I hate to hear that young students/athletes are "let go". If such is the case, that is pretty awful.
I know what i have posted is true.Check the rosters for the last two years you can see the turnover there.I would recommend emporia sts.program anyday over cmsu with the present coach. What baseball39 has heard is simply spin by my estimation.Shields players,ha,ha.Check the stats, i also believe their 1 and 2 pitchers for 06 were released.
