I would appreciate any information on the these schools in terms of academics and where the baseball program. I have not heard any negatives. My son plays bigger than his size. He's 5'9" but ran the 60 in 6.6 as a junior and he is on conditioning program now and may hit 6.4. Someone may have seen him on ESPH somersauling over the catcher to score fron 2nd on a bunt. BTW, he was out on a technicality even though the tag was not made.

Not sure about Guilford, but RMC and Lynchburg are private, and you'll need to get some pretty decent academic money to get down to what CNU costs, without assistance, which is around 14K per year for everything, with tax, tags, and license. All three Virginia programs that you mention have top notch coaches. I haven't seen Lynchburg's field yet, but CNU's is far superior to RMC; having said that, Coach Hedrick is still sort of new (third year) to the job and I expect him to do great things there, including improving the facilities. Send a PM to JT on this board as his son plays at Lynchburg. Send me a PM as to specific CNU questions-I have two sons playing there. Your son can flat fly to be sure, and that video of his flip at the plate is truly awesome. He will never play anywhere that has a backstop as high as his high school's. Smile
We've played 3 of the those 4 programs in the past couple of years...CNU best baseball wise, facility is 3-4 years old, and very nice. Very cheap. RMC, don't know new head coach, but only good things to say about their assistant, field is OK...they share with the football team, but they make it work. It seems like their on the rise. Lynchburg, I don't know much about, but my understanding is good school, nice facility, they love to hit, and pitching is sub par (again this is not from personal experience). Guilford, new coach, came from the program, old campus, I'd rather say classic, They have a decent field, short 365 to the power allies, but they get real nice fan support, we would regularly play in front of 100-200 fans on thier spring break when campus was "empty." The ODAC is a nice conference with mostly private pricer schools, the USA South (CNU) is more state school oriented with some real strong programs year in and year out!

Good Luck
We visited Lynchburg this fall.Everything was immaculate EXCEPT the baseball field. They were installing a new multi-use turf field & track at the time(almost complete).Maybe the baseball fieid will be next!
As far as the cost...my daughter has a 3.5 GPA ;between that & other scholarships/incentives brought the price down from 31k to 18k.That makes it a LOT closer to the public schools like CNU & Longwood at 14k.FYI--All the private schools we talked to were the same;from 4.0-3.0 GPA, every tenth of a point was worth $1000/year!!Tell your children to study.
