Coach meetings | High School Baseball Web

My sophomore son called several schools who he has been in email touch with or who have seen him at a showcase or through video and 3 of 3 coaches spent about an hour with him when we checked out their schools. Do they do that with anyone who calls or is that a positive sign?

Maybe, Maybe not. Two football players from my sons old high school(they played baseball with my son also) want to attend the same D1 university. They have both made visits and had long conversations with the coach. They both have been told to come on up and walk on. One is a center, a plump 265lb,6'0". The smallest OF lineman for the school is 6'3" 290lb. The other is a punter thay have never seen kick. These guys have no chance. Be careful sometimes coaches are really nice guys.

From my experience, when they invite you to visit (through the HS or summer coach) then the interest is genuine. Before then? Hard(er) to tell.
