Just finished my last session today for our winter baseball clinic. One team entered late and unfortunately, they are 8 year olds. I don't like the idea of keeping them up late but that is how they wanted it. Wow, they are so much fun. They see things so differently than we do. Personally, I'm blessed because it's obvious that they look up to me. We are in our 5th week. They are getting so much better. I think many of us need to look at baseball through the eyes of an 8 year old. It might make many of us appreciate the power we possess and the blessings we get to encounter. JMHO!

We do a camp every summer. We have one group from 7-9 and another group from 10-13. It is a blast to work with these young fellas. There is always that kid that catches your eye that is always getting dirty. Diving after every ball and trying to make every play. There is the kid that only wants to hit. He never wants to throw or field he just wants to hit the whole time. There is the kid that just wants to drink gatorade and eat snacks that his mom prepared for him. And there is always a kid that wants to run run run all the time. Coach when we going to run the bases? And then there is the kid that just wants to pick on all the other kids and really doesnt want to be there. It is a joy to be able to spend time with these kids. Now we have several in our program. Their first experience with our program was at our camps. Our first experience with them was also at the camps. It is a special bond that grows with time and continues to build even today. Yes we are blessed.
