A hitting dvd I'd recommend is Coach Cohen's; he made it when he was at Kentucky (now at Miss State, i think)... I believe it's called "Finding your best swing."

Don't spend much on videos; read the web sites for free and go visit a couple of college or good hs programs practicing... you can learn a lot without getting soaked for bad dics (I've bought a few dogs over the years)

Best advice you will ever get. Books and videos are nice and everything but sometimes they aren't that good. To get an idea of bad ones get on YouTube and search. There are some that make you wonder if these guys ever played baseball.

If you want to learn how to coach then go watch the teams that are good. They are good because they know what they are doing. I got a bunch of books and stuff from years ago but I never look at them anymore. If I want to get another viewpoint then I go to a college and watch them.

But if you do get a book then get Ron Polk's book. It is the best ever written.

If there is anything better I haven't seen it. However, you might find some things involving hitting that some might argue against.

I would recommend understanding how the body works when it performs the tasks of throwing and hitting a baseball. If you're eager to learn go to ****** and Paul *****'s stuff. He won't return emails or calls. However try to soak up as much of his info as possible. Steve Englishbey broke off and did the hitting side of ***** while Ron Wolforth broke off and did the pitching side. Wolforth's is easier to understand than Englishbey's. Englishbey's is full of a lot of scientific terminology. However once you get it, it will be amazing. Trust me I've spent thousands of dollars on videos and most of it to find out that these 2 programs were the best.
