Coaching Freshman Baseball

Hi, I will be coaching freshman HS baseball this year. I have previously coached 3 years of HS baseball and one year of college. It has been 6 years since I last coached HS, and was looking for any good books to read. I am looking for a coaching style, not necessarily drills, but a combonation of the two would be great. I am always looking to improve!! Thanks for the ideas ahead of time.

Hey Patrick, ABCA coaching bible is a great read. Not just drills but perspectives by some of the greatest coaches ever. Good luck and have fun.

To me, the bible is Ron Polk's "Baseball Playbook". Its very thorough, shows you how to evaluate talent, run practices, how to play each position, etc.
I think its great!
