There is a limit to the number of off campus contacts during recruiting, maybe 4 or 5. From what I've seen, it is unusual for coaches to initiate public contact with recruits, especially at a very public tournament setting. They tend to prefer to observe undisturbed, not tipping their "pitches". The best thing to do is play the game and deal with recruiting at home.

From the NCAA student guidelines:
Division1:
Off campus recruiting: face to face contact no more than 3 times during your senior year.

Those 3 contacts mean each contact between you and your parents. If he talks to the player it is one, to his folks it is one.

I wouldn't worry much about it though, they know the rules and this is NOT FOOTBALL where everyone is watching over your shoulder.
