The Coastal Carolina baseball program will hold three camps in the months of November and December. The Chanticleer Fall minicamp will be held Nov. 11-12 at Watson Stadium/Vrooman Field. The minicamp is designed for serious high school baseball players who are determined to go on and play at the collegiate and/or professional level. The camp will feature coaches from North Carolina, Alabama, Elon, UNC Asheville, Francis Marion and Louisburg College and feature scouts from the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants. The Coastal Pitcher/Catcher camp will be held from Dec. 2-3. This is a specialized camp for pitchers and catchers who are serious about their future in baseball. Pitchers and catchers will go through two days of intense physical and mental training. The focus of this camp will be to develop a routine that focuses on Consistent Correct Repetitions. The 2006 Coastal camp season will conclude with the Best on the Beach Showcase Dec. 9-10. This camp, in its third year, is designed to expose juniors, sophomores and freshmen to college coaches and get the recruiting process started. It also provides unsigned seniors another chance to showcase their abilities before they enter their final spring season of high school baseball. Coastal currently has 14 players on its current roster that have participated in a past Chanticleer camp.
