Oh my goodness this Coastal Carolina and LSU game is unbelievable! These last two innings have been the most intense innings I've ever seen!

Wasn't that something. How about the top of the ninth with LSU leading off with an error and a goof-ball collision at first base leading to a tie game. Bases loaded and one out and Bobby Holmes strikes a kid out on a 3-2 pitch and gets the next kid to fly out. That took guts. Then, lead off the bottom of the 9th with a walk and everyone on the planet thinking bunt and Coach Gilmore calls a straight steal. That took guts. One pitch later and the game is over. That was Coastal baseball at its finest. Huge congrats to the Chanticleers. If you didn't like that game- you don't like baseball.
Unbelievable. Yes yes yes. !
I am happy for Coastal and Coach Gilmore...at least one team from SC showed up in the Supers.
How about that Pittsburgh kid !
Chants to Omaha !

Yes - I will be rooting for the only team left from my home state.

Love the aggression there as he was clearly playing to win! Why not when you're playing with house money?
Outstanding baseball and coaching in Coastal/LSU series just as in the UCSB/Louisville series. These programs were hungry to get to the CWS and these coaches took calculated risks that ultimately paid off.
Especially this year with all the Super Regional upsets, I think the more established teams (national seeds) played conservatively and it bit them in the a$$. Tip of the cap to TCU as they also beat a national seed.....I didn't watch much of that game but I think it probably is going along the same lines as the other games mentioned. Not a lot being talked about with Arizona but essentially they did the same thing in their Super Regional. They've got a lot of talent.
If Florida State beats Florida tonight (thankfully 7pm EST it will be one of the more unlikely CWS with only your #3 and #5 national seeds remaining. Wow.
Its about time for Coastal. OMAHA!
Yes those were both exciting games. Coastal has a very good, veteran team and is well coached.
Not to take anything away from CC, but LSU played very tight. After watching this team all year, we seemed to be playing not to loose as opposed to playing to win. I thought CC did a much better job of playing loose, aggressive baseball. Cudos to them. I'm already thinking about next season. Selfishly, I hope and pray my son gets healthy and has an opportunity to contribute. I can tell you he didn't like watching the game from the stands with me. He missed so bad being a part of that run.
I think that most of the seeds or regional hosts played too tight. Too much pressure. Sometimes home advantage can work against you.
