My middle son played several years ago and youngest is playing this summer. Not a question on middle son but youngest is playing 30 minutes from home with his best friend and another player from his college. Question is does anyone know if they have to stay with host family or can they stay with us and drive back and forth. Middle son had good and very bad experiences with host families both years. Didn't know if anyone had dealt with this situation. I would think they would be glad not to have to find host families for three players but didn't know.

My son played 3 years for the Peninsula Pilots and lived at home all 3 years as did other local players with no problem but I would think you should check with the team he plays with.
Thanks. He was going to when they contact him back but just wondering. With three of them it will make our house a chaos again, which could be a good thing and splitting the driving (gas) should make it better. My food bill could go up a lot with three college guys here. But should make it a great experience. They will have lots of support with them playing 30 minutes from us and our community.
Having 3 of them together will be a good thing when they get back from a road trip at 2,3 or 4 in the morning and still face a 1/2 hour ride home.
I looked at the schedule for this summer and they do not have the long road trips this year. They seem to have regionalized the games within the Coastal Plains this year and the long road trips, they are home for almost all of them which is a better thing. I was figuring the same thing because I figured they would go to Macon, Savannah, Peninsula, or Wilmington. So that contributed to them staying with us.
Trust me, one less host family to find to secure will be welcomed with open arms.
