West Suburban Silver and the Catholic League have to be the best. I got a chance to see LT play this summer and they look as strong as ever. If their pitchers step up they will have a tremendous season. Can't say I've seen hitters like theirs in a while.

Consider the Catholic League this year with St. Rita leading the pack, Loyola finishing 2nd in the summer, Brother Rice winning the league last year with young players, Providence with Stroud, and Mt. Carmel had another great season. Boy oh Boy if you don't have a great team you will lose a lot in that league.
The Southwestern Conference has to be one of the best in the state. We are in the Mississippi Valley Conference. We butt heads with the Southwestern Conference every year and have to play teams from that conference every year in order to advance to state. \

The Central States 8 is also a very good conference. Sacred Heart Griffin, Lincoln and Chatham Glenwood are in that conference. Those are great baseball schools.

SICA WEST...Have they changed it?...usually pretty good also.

Now the Southwest Suburban Conferance:

Lockport, Sandburg, Andrew, Bradley-Bourb, Lincoln-Way C & E, HF, JT, Stagg & Bolingbrook.

IMO, arguably the best AA conference if we exclude the conferences with schools that can pull kids in from a 30-mile radius.
I think there was an article in the paper the other day about an out-of-court settlement between those schools in the new Southwestern Conference that Tuzi mentioned and Thornton, Thornwood, ect. that said the new conference was formed out of racial makeup. The settlement dictates that in a year or so there will be a new conference that includes those schools.
I'd say that in 2007 The MSL and the MSL West in particular will be very tough....as tough as any. Picture this: Monday you face Joe Huenecke or Matt Gaily, then Weds. you see Austin Wright and on Friday you see Grant Monroe. Not to mention all the good hitters you will face as well. That will be life in the MSL West this year.

The MSL East won't be too shabby either.
