I was just wondering what everyone who lives in cold climate handles showcases. Is it a good idea for the most part to stay away from them in the winter ? My son is a 2018 so i'm just now looking at the different possibilities. My thought was probably next August, depending on whether or not he makes Varsity. My son received an invitation for the 2014 PG National Underclass - Main Event in December (I know it was because he played in one of their tournaments this summer) . But it got me thinking it would be nice to get out of the cold. I wouldn't believe he would be in top form that time of year though. As far as hitting live pitching. Some of the other stuff might be alright (fielding and running) . He will probably be back inside practicing late October. And where are pitchers from cold weather climates in their pitching cycle? Baseball starts here in like April . So i wouldn't think pitchers here would be anywhere near ready to show off their stuff. Any experiences or input would be appreciated.
