And, in my view, getting sicker as time passes.
While there are no specifics, reports are that the family of the Boise State kicker is getting threats.
Social networking sites reportedly have more than a fare share of very distasteful posts.

When one considers the amount of gambling and other influences that the money in college football is creating, the potential sickness/downside could be far worse than Cal dropping baseball.

I went to the kicker's FB shortly after the game, out of pure curiosity over human behavior. And wow. I was sickened by the trashing this guy was getting, to include stuff from people who claimed to have lost a lot of money on the outcome. Very disturbing. I would assume he's taken his life offline by now.

Pretty sickening.
On the bright side, the supporters, sympathizers, and the fans who remember how well the WAC's all-time leading scorer has performed for four years--including helping win the Fiesta Bowl on a fake punt--are coming out of the woodwork, and they vastly outnumber the morons.

I'm not a Boise State fan, and I've been hoping all year that they'd slip on one of the cream puffs they've been walking over this year, but now I'm rooting for Brotzman to win whatever bowl they go to with a 50 yarder at the end of regulation!

I truly wonder if he did miss those field goals. Nevada has the shorter goal posts whereas most schools typically have the NFL goal posts that are much taller. I know it's not the best angle the camera gives but when you factor in the net is only about 20 feet behind the goal post then that's not a lot of room to have it get outside the post for a miss.
