Virtually all sports have received more TV exposure in recent years. We get day after day of the wretchedly overhyped LL World Series. Don't know how it comes into our home, but the College World Series gets almost as much attention. Smile

Not only that, but we're thinking of visiting Omaha for it next year. Heard that it's a hoot.
Now I look forward to the LL WS and can't wait for the College WS each year.

I just wish there would be more coverage of some weekly college games during the spring. Here on the East Coast ACC basketball is on the TV all over the place.

I am fortunate that I live near Charlottesville and try to get to most of Virginia's home baseball games and get to see most of the ACC bunch.

I've brought this topic up elsewhere, and have gotten good response.
What we were able to come up with was a Game of the Week or something like that.
Each Friday or Saturday ESPN or ESPN2 could televise a good college baseball game, like LSU vs Texas or Arizona State vs Cal State. And since its on a Friday or Saturday, you'd see each teams best pitchers and hitters.

And I've even done a little research on this and there is usually a good baseball match up each Friday or Saturday. To name a few:
-LSU plays South Carolina April 9th at LSU at 2 PM.
-Texas plays Arizona on March 5th at 6PM
-Stanford vs Cal State Fullerton isn't a bad Saturday Night Game on February 5(Although thats Super Bowl Saturday)
etc.
Mostly the ranked teams playing each other.

And if ESPN brings up cost, I would suggest them cutting 1 of the 10 college football games they air every weekend, and 1 of the 20 college basketball games they air every week.
There is nothing that compares to being in Omaha for the College World Series. I went in 2001 as a member of the Cal State Fullerton staff. We played Nebraska in the opener and there were 25,000 people there (24,900 were wearing red chanting "Go Big Red"...."Go Big Red"). It was U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E!!! We beat them and finished 3rd. I still get goosebumps when I talk/think about that experience.
