Texasbaseball4life10,
My son attended two major D-1 college camps during his high school years (Alabama and Mississippi State) plus a couple of small local camps, so I don’t have a lot of experience in that area but I don't think players generally attend a large number of camps. My son has also worked many camps while he was in college. I would venture to say that most D-1 baseball camps are good but you have to understand what a baseball camp is and what it offers. It is used primarily to generate money for the baseball program, for the coaches to sell their programs, and an opportunity for the coaches to look at players. Some assistant coaches are paid exclusively from the revenue generated from those camps. In my opinion camps are good because they do give the player a glimpse of what college baseball is all about. The campers get to talk to the college players, pick up a few pointers and get a chance to be seen by the coaches at that college. Coaches can also talk to the parents and players freely without restrictions from the NCAA. Large D-1s often use some JUCO coaches to help with their camps so exposure to those JUCO coaches also exists. Don’t look for other D-1 to be there. Going to camps for the purpose of getting exposure can be expensive with some college camps costing as much as a showcase, and a good showcase will put you in front of many scouts and college coaches. My suggestion is to target your dream school(s) and see what develops.
Good Luck,
Fungo
We have been to quite a few. I think they are helpful. Meet the staff and talk with the players and find out as much as you can.

I cant think of any others right now. We have been to many, only because we like to see the campus and field also. I think it is good exposure. I wouldnt pay over 250.00 to attend any though. Some of the best I have went to have been $45.00-$100.00.
my son is currently attending the university of kansas camp. coach price runs a teriffic camp...lots of teaching with a fine staff..the university has top notch facilities and takes great care of the campers..coach price has visited with my son numerous times (left hand pitcher..switch hitter) dont know what if anything will come of it but it is a good experience for him
I see you're from PA. A few years back when my son was in high school, he attended Penn State summer camp. It was a week long camp and he stayed on campus.(good thing, found out the campus was a little to big for him) He liked the camp. Learned a few baseball things, but the best thing was that they also had a sports nutritionist(made a big change in his life) Hope this helps.
