hey everyone...
i am a senior in high school and was playing fall ball this past fall and went to a few showcases. i had contact with a college coach before the season and he told me he would come out and watch us play (he knew my pitching coach pretty well) I pitched a game down at ISU without knowing he was even there and emailed me this two weeks after...I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that I was impressed by your outing in Bloomington two weeks ago. "I really like you on the mound and feel that you have the ability to come in and contribute significantly as a freshman for our program. I didn't have a chance to talk to you after the outing, but I wanted to drop you a line to reiterate my sincere interest in you continuing your career as a Cardinal." I wanted to know how serious they truly are...I went to an overnight stay at the college last week..but didn't spend that much time with the coach at all. I wasn't sure if they send this kind of stuff out to everyone of not...there were only 8 other guys at the overnight event. I also had another college coach contact me after my pitching coach talk to him and he came out to watch me and set up a visit day and have talked to him quite a bit. the visit went well and couldn't really tell whether or not they really wated me...i suppose they kind of did if he still wanted me to visit and do all that..since they only have about a 30 man roster...any input would be greatly appreciated ..thanks everyone in advance

8 guys at an overnight event?
Was this a camp?

It seems to me that they couldn't possibly be interested in all 8 guys this late in the recruiting period?

In the other situation. IMO, if after a visit, you can't tell if they're interested, then they are not THAT interested.

Could be that they are waiting on some decisions on offers they have out, and want back-ups?

Follow up with both, if you are intersted in both, and tell them you would like to sign in early signing period and that you are ready to make your decision.(If you, in fact, are ready) If neither responds with an offer, then I would work hard and wait for something next Spring or Summer.
Hi BBL21 and welcome to the HHBBW!

It appears that you have some good solid interest from a couple of schools. I believe that you must pursue the school as much as you want them to pursue you. Call them, write them, even better keep visiting them if you can. This worked for my son. I think "gitnby" summed it up pretty good with "*In the other situation. IMO, if after a visit, you can't tell if they're interested, then they are not THAT interested." If they are interested in you they will be glad to talk to you and you SHOULD be able to tell.

My son recieved offers on unofficial visits after we kept going to visit the coaches and school. But we went several (as in many) times over a two or three year period. You have some time left so spend your time wisely.

Good luck!
1st- i am not sure if it was considered an official visit. and it was not a camp. we got there fri night, and the coaches talked for a few min then we went to dinner with the players, then the next morning went on a tour and met with the dean of admissions. i have applied at both colleges and been accpeted already. I also wanted to know how long i should wait before signing, since i expect to have a big senior year and hopefully can get some more offers in the spring.
Couple things.

Assuming this is an NCAA D-1 or D-2.

If they provided the overnight accomodations and/or dinner, then it must be counted as an official visit. In that case, they should have asked for and received your transcripts and test scores, and provided you with Academic report for their program.

In terms of waiting or signing.
If you made up your list of top 5 schools to attend for academics and to play baseball, and they are on it, sign now!
If not, then maybe consider waiting. Tough call?
