I know several schools have the USASC tourney coming up this week.
LC plays a rematch with H-SC on Tuesday, then travels to VWC for a huge ODAC DH on Saturday.
Here's hoping for a warmer week for all the state schools.

We're watching the weather closely for Burlington, NC; rain looks like it will be around, hopefully as no more than a nuisance for 2 of the 4 days of the tournament.
Should be a great tournament-literally anybody can beat anybody, and most already have in regular season, so whichever squad gets and stays hot for 4 days will have their ticket punched to NCAA.
Interesting scheduling strategy- most schools will play 4-7 games after the Tournament, but Averett has completed their full schedule already, having played 40 games, 10 more games than Shenandoah, which has the lowest completed total at 30.

LC takes the rematch with H-SC 5-4. Jonathan Crews' (Heritage) solo shot in the 8th was the difference.. Jonathan Nichols (N. Stafford) went the distance as the Hornets improved to 10-4 in the ODAC,and 18-12 for the season. H-SC falls to 10-5 in the ODAC, and 18-15 for the year.
another loss to a board buddy...0-3 to the Hoke and sting...0-2 to JT...another loss after a lead to the Hornets 
but thats Ok...maybe a 3rd time will be a charm....JT I could not make it today as promise...hope to see you in Lynchburg for the ODAC tourney.

To me...the scariest team in the tourney will be Bridgewater. Decent pitching. Can hit and field. And they have been under-achieving all year.
VWC used two 5 run innings to sweep Lynchburg today, 6-1 and 8-7. A five run 1st paced the Marlins in game one, while a five run 6th gave VWC the game two edge.
The highlight of my day, though, was getting to meet "fc v dad," who dropped by for part of game two since the H-SC games at WLU were rained out. It's always nice to meet other posters on here.

JT...wow...I left the game with Lynchburg leading 6-3 in the 6th....You had a couple of opportunities to put this game away and Moore seemed to be throwing well....you told me you guys have a tendency of letting games like this get away...It looks like a carbon copy of our games with you but the results were the other way....I really enjoyed our conversation...we share a lot of simularities about our early and present day baseball / family life ....I'll make a point to get with you at the ODAC tourney in Lynchburg.
I not sure when our games are going to be made up...W&L plays Monday/Tuesday and we play Wednesday/Thursday against Methodist & Greensboro...tough situtation...not sure if any of the coaches want to play 6 games in one week or back to back double header conference games.

Looks like our's was the only ODAC games played yesterday...so the rest of the league is in the same boat. Good luck with what looks to be a busy week.
