Was wondering what types of speeds are D1, D2, and D3 coaches looking for in regards to a RHP? High 80's, low 90's or anywhere in the 80's with good movement to be considered for those levels?

Considered for weekend starter on a top 20 team or a redshirt at the #200 RPI school? There is a difference.

Definately look for the thread. Lots of good info there. The short answer is working high 80's righty strike throwers, with a feel for taking off something, moving the ball, and two breaking pitches, one of which is a change, usually can do well.
Spoke with a coach the other day and he said that the best pitcher to ever play for him never threw more than 79 mph however he had command of 3 pitches a 2 seam FB, a nice curve ball, and an un-hittable circle change. He said that to this day he teaches that circle change pitch to all his pitchers. He values a pitcher by the amount of outs he delivers and not how fast they throw.
