Can you still play for a college team as a walk-on or do not accept walk-on or to you have to tryout for the team

I believe all colleges have try outs,either fall ball if they do that or in the winter when they start. If a student is not recruited to play does not mean the coach won't give you a chance. Recruiting is far from a science. Find a school you like for all reasons and try out for the team. Remember that the school academically, geographically, and socially should be what seems like a fit for you. If you get accepted at your choice based on that criteria and they have a BB team, by all means, try out...... You never know. My son was not recruited, wanted to go to the school he is in now in the worst way, showed up for BB and has had a tremendous experience.
