I have purposely stayed away from getting involved in this forum. Kind of hoping our name would not be brought up.

However, I do enjoy reading about all the players who have signed. I don’t think it has to turn into a “whose player it is” thing. The players don’t belong to anyone, for sure not to us. It’s all good when young players’ benefit, no matter who is involved. I could care less who promotes young players; it’s just great that someone is doing it. This really isn’t a forum for arguments IMO.

Just to explain the reason for us not listing college signings of players who went to PG events on this site. It would take up way too much space to list them all here. Then we would miss several unintentionally. Sorry if that sounds like bragging, it’s not meant to be! It’s simply the truth!

It would be much easier if someone named a top 50 DI school or a college from any of the top conferences and then we gave the names of the players they have successfully recruited who went to PG events. We might even miss a few doing it THAT way.

When TR talks about the players signing with colleges, who he knows … It’s great to hear those players’ names and where they’re going to school.

When E-6, Dibble, Jason Boerne, etc. writes about the players he knows signing… It’s great to hear those players’ names and where they’re going to school. Guess, I didn’t know E-6 worked one of our ID camps, but if he did, that’s OK too.

Same for all the others who give kids some deserved recognition. It should all be positive in this forum. TR, E-6, and everyone else who contributes deserve a big thank you (IMO).

In fact, though Tom and Andy don’t appear to like each other all that much. They actually do have a couple things in common in my eyes…

TR has earned my respect for how much he cares about the young players he’s involved with and the endless hours he spends promoting and trying to help them.

Andy (E-6) takes a lot of guff at times, but he too deserves a lot of praise. There is no question about his love for the game. There is no question about the time and effort he puts into promoting the game. I don’t know, but don’t think he has become wealthy from all the time and effort he puts into baseball. I think it’s a labor of love, as it is with most of us.

I have a problem disliking anyone who is out there promoting baseball at the amateur level. That’s why I love this site so much, it’s great promotion for the game of baseball… With some great people who really care about promoting the game. In the end, whether we know it or not, that is what we do. And it’s all great!!!
Andy would be a lot easier to take if he'd lose the pessimism. If my son read nothing but posts by E-6, Jason Bourne or Dibble he'd be convinced he doesn't have a shot. His posts for the most part seem to tell a kid you have to have A-Rod or Puljos tools to even get a sniff from colleges or pro scouts. TR, PG and countless other posters, while realistic in their observations and experiences, at least give a 2-3 tool player a positive outlook. JMHO.
PERSON HIGH SCHOOL
ROXBORO, NC SIGNEES/COMMITTMENTS

Robbie Byrd 6'4/220, OF has committed to Barton College and will sign his NLI tomorrow (Thursday).

Jerrod Moore 5'11/175, RHP/MIF has committed to Lenoir-Rhyne College and will also sogn his NLI on Thurday.

These are 2 fine players and great kids. It was indeed my pleasure to coach them.
PG,

Well said and a voice of reason weighing in on the TR/Andy feud. Personally, I've watched this thing continue for years and I can say one thing that no one can dispute. TR's battering of Andy and his background has not deterred Andy from posting duel. Generally I'll disagree with Poptime that Andy's post are mostly negative they seem mostly informational to me.

That said i know TR has a valued reputation on this site and one that is, from what I can see, well deserved. I don't know who Andy is and quite frankly I don't care. Like most on this site I don't know who is giving their OPINIONS and that's what most of us do on this site. Each person takes these opinions and decides what is and what's not useful for them, and on the off chance that information is mistaken or wrong generally someone will try to correct it. That said, the running feud between the two only serves to detract(at best) or ruin whatever the thread subject is and ends up being a negative -- period.

AT some point TR needs to take the high road on this thing since the other road has not proven succesful. Somehow the wrestling with a pig addage seems appropo "when you wrestle with a pig one things for sure you're gonna get muddy yourself."

If PGs assessment is correct, and I believe it is, then both are genuine in their desire to help and both love the game. Then for the sake of the game, this site and all who read it -- you guys send a personal email get to the bottom of your disagreement and find some middle ground. If you both love the game and want to help through this site I'm sure you both realize your personal problems only serve to detract. good
MR MOM
