If a coach knows you are coming to watch a game, is there anything that prevents them from inviting you in the dugout for part of the game? If they dont, is it inappropriate to ask?
I don't know if there's anything that prevents them from doing so but I would have to wonder why they even would consider it. They are trying to win a baseball game and I'm sure they don't need any distractions. I wouldn't have the nerve to even ask out of respect for the team to concentrate on their objective.
It would be very inappropiate to ask. I am sure different teams handle this differently, coach by coach. My son was invited into a few dugouts during gametime by the head coach, and at other programs he was not. There is no way he would ever ask, it is only an invitation that may be extended by some.
If you are not invited in, I would not read anything into it.
Thanks a bunch guys, my first rodeo so ya gotta ask. He was invited in during a fall game (intrasquad) and kind figured that was likely why and assumed a in season game would be different.
