After talking with Connor last night after his first college practice , I'm curious, what does a typical college practice/workout look like? He is a pitcher and said that practice started by running 4 miles then sit ups, etc.
He said that the position players ran 2 miles and then did similar excercises.
Is 4 miles about average for pitchers at the collegiate level? More? Less? He is in good shape so the 4 miles wasn't a problem, I'm just curious what other coaches do.
He has weight training 3 days a week in addition to daily practice.
