Bryant is an excellent school. Investing lots of money in infrastructure and athletics. Moving to Division 1 this season and will be ineligible for post-season play for a few years thereafter. I'm not sure that many teams moving up to D1 would actually qualify for a few years anyway so maybe that doesn't matter. Last year they won the Northeast 10 and the year before did well and advanced to the NCAA D2 tournament. By all accounts the coach is a good one.

Roger Williams is also an excellent school with a breathtaking campus that overlooks the ocean. Solid D3 program that has been getting better and better each year. They either qualified this year or just missed, I don't recall.

Johnson & Wales is a good school if you want to be a chef. I don't think you even have to apply to get in--just call and let them know you're coming. I may be exaggerating a bit...

I don't know enough about the other two to comment.
thanks for the feedback! I have a neighbor whose daughter goes to Johnson & Wales. They can't say enough good things about it. She wants to do event planning, or something like that. Apparently they are more than a chef school, but I know that's what they're known for. I think they're branching out, and seem to care about their students. Having said that, the avg SATs don't look too high either, but my kid is working on getting his sat's up in october. (he'd better...)

guess we'll skip the trip to providence next week Wink
