Does anyone know if their is a rule about the color of a HS foul pole?
Is yellow the only color or can the foul pole be any color?
I am interested only in facts / rules. We all probaly agree that yellow is the most common color...

There are no rules regarding the color of, or even a requirement for, a foul pole in the rules of NFHS, NCAA or OBR.
The Rules call for very few field requirements. There are recommended fence heights and distances, but not much else.
A foul pole is not mandatory according to the rules, but is most helpful and adivseable.....
It is, as you know, usually a high visablity color, most often yellow...... I do know of a team whose foul poles are striped like candy canes...the team colors being red and white....I dont think it helps seeing the line any.......so unless your team colors are electric orange and safety tape yellow.....Id stick to a solid design...
