Here's an article from the Free Lance Star for Saturday's North Stafford v Riverbend matchup.

While that's a good capsule, some additional observations.

- a well pitched game by both pitchers, both went the distance. Kennedy had one hit batsman, I don't think he gave up more than one walk, if any. Traugh pitched for contact and mostly kept the hitters off balance, keeping his pitch count low, he ended the game throwing 60 pitches in seven innings with five Ks and no walks. NS really couldn't figure him out and generate an offensive threat other than in the fourth inning and RB immediately responded.

- RB had additional opportunities to put pressure on NS, but sloppy base running and a good pick off move ended at least one more scoring opportunity.

Because it was so well pitched, by my clock, the game lasted an hour and 37 minutes! Now that's a fast game!
Nothing is better than a day at the ball park.
