Can anyone direct me to a thread on community college recruiting?  Not at the "front end" where the high school athlete is being recruited by the CC, but the  process when the CC athletes are being recruited by the 4 year schools.  I assume that the CC coaches will play a stronger role than most HS coaches, as they are in the business of helping their players transfer to 4 year schools.  But I am interested in learning if players have to be as proactive (emails, calls, visits, showcases, etc.) as they were during the high school recruiting process.

My son's experience was his play on the field is what got him noticed by several D3 and a few D2 coaches.   They would then contact his JuCo coach who would put him in contact with my son.  He was somewhat proactive, but he really didn't have much time between studies, practice and games.

Ultimately he signed with a D2 university that never actually saw him play, but was watching the JuCo stats. It helps when you break the school record for number of doubles (27) for the season (also had the 2nd most in that catagory among D2 JuCo's) and named to the 2nd team for the region.  The assistant coach contacted him via text the day after we moved his stuff home.  Within a week we visited and they made an offer a few days later which he accepted.
