he was on the MLB network, he was a cy young winner, and he's a dr in kinesiology but this just looks rediculous if you ask me, i dont see how these "new mechnics" could be benefitial to anyone im wondering what others think about this.
i know theres been posts about marshall mechanics before but could anyone really recommend this stuff?!?

i am some what familiar with the marshall approach.

i just watched him on the mlb interview. he isn't a snappy dresser, but that aside he had me thinking, jeese it makes sence until...........the footwork on the mond, the throw from the mound.
just doesn't get it done for me. but i did like the interview though. but i've seen enough,i'm good with it for another few years. Smile
It is no secret that the Media feed on the bizarre and controversial as a way of frothing up viewer interest and creating entertainment.

Marshall has sufficient credentials from accomplishments long past to convey the minimally necessary veneer of credibility--hey, former Cy Young winner, PhD, good pitcher in his day, lots of pseudo-scientific jargon and bluster....maybe he DOES know something....

But, unfortunately, Marshall has been at this for a long, long time now and his work has come to nothing. So, instead of showing that his pitching mechanics work (which he apparently cannot do, despite years of trying), Marshall simply ordains that his mechanics work. And, of course, he also ordains that no one else knows anything useful about pitching but him.

Good luck with that.

20dad-

I think the story goes.....

1) Dad sold $1,000,000.00 pitching mechanic secrets.
2) 1.5 years later, dad sold video of son performing dad's $1,000,000.00 mechanics. Son did not look like the mechanics being sold.
3) Son was having trouble in the pro's.
4) Dad stepped in and made son look like $1,000,000.00 mechanics.
5) Son didn't fair too well after that.
