Was at the Oakton-Herndon game. A lot of gutsy play on both sides, but especially the Oakton team for letting Herndon tie the score at 6 in the seventh (Herndon had been down 6-0; 6-3 with two outs) and then regrouping and pulling away from it. Good for them; they may just be getting hot at the right time.
Are those matchups correct? Just curious why the top seed wouldn't play the lowest seed...1 v 6, 2 v 5??
The brackets are set up prior to any games being played. Centreville was scheduled to play the winner of the 4 - 5 seed game. Westfield the winner of 3-6 seeded game. With the upsets of the two games, Westfield gets the big break and faces the lower seeded Oakton team.
