What a game!  In the 9th inning both teams tied 0-0 Hunter Vey hits a solo homerun to put the Knights up by 1.  Nathan Eaton pitched a complete game for Dale and held the Rapids in the 9th for the win.  He had 14K's on the night.  This should have been  the conference championship game tonight between these two teams the way the game was played.   It is a shame that it was the semis as both teams played well and put runners in scoring position throughout the night. JRHS Griff  Roberts held them to no runs and then Josh Winder pitched well only giving up the 1 one.   Great game by 2 great teams.

Yup.  One hell of a game.

Please forgive the crowing, but that homerun to centerfield was the first for the 15-year-old sophomore catcher.   Great night for him, and for his teammates.  I am sure his feet won't touch the ground for a good while.  I know mine won't.

Eaton struck out 8 in the last three innings if my info is correct, and was still gassing them at the end.  Kid is a machine.

Glad that came together that way.
