GF 4 WB 0. Stallings CG. Bigby HR. Riddick, Perdue and Obenouer had 2 hits each.

Granby 5-1 over Oscar Smith.

GF has the pitching to win states.  But above that, I see a team that is well coached and well prepared each game.   WB has ONE coach.   One.   They don't even have a first base coach!   A young team in that situation is a recipe for failure.   Grassfield is primed to roll.   They look good.  

The Grassfield vs. oscar smith game was 2-1 going into bottom 6.3 unearned runs in 6th made it 5-1.

WB beats Woodside 5-1.  Klak CG, 1 hit, 8Ks.   

Wow. 10 innings pitched on 1 day rest for Klak. 

Did he really pitch 130 pitches tonight? What is WB thinking. Was it worth it for the Win?

125 tonight.   74 on Monday.   10 innings.  14 Ks.    199 pitches!!!!   In 3 days.  Ridiculous.  

I think the one coach at WB needs to look at what he did the other night. 199 pitches. Not to mention warm ups and the pitches between innings. So that's another 100 or so. Where is Klak pitching in college? I would love to hear that coaches thoughts!!!!

ODU.    And I have said over the years in these forums that some kids are overused.  Morgan from Oscar Smith threw something like 135 pitches in a game last March.  March!   Pros don't throw that much and those are mature, developed arms.   It's simple lack of concern or care for a players safety and future.  Sadly, some kids may feel intimidated to speak up about it.   Idk.    But it's alarming.  

There was also a player at IR that tossed 140 pitches in a loss to WB last year . Maybe that is where WB got the idea to over throw.

Sorry but Morgan threw 117 pitches.

Ok.   Either way.  It's a lot.  Seriously guys....getting technical over the number?   Come on now.

If I didn't read the entire thread, your comments would imply that a player threw 199 pitches "the other night"....meaning, in one game.  A bit reckless, in my opinion.

I'm not going to comment on how many pitches are too many, or too little.  Every player is different.  Some tire at 50, some can go 125.  There are too many variables.  What I have observed, having followed that program for a number of years, is that it is not customary to have one guy throw that much.  Therefore, I would consider this a "one-off" event, and move on.

While it may seem that I am defending the coach in this matter, it is more to say that I have observed no history of this occurring, and there is always more at play than what someone from the stands, or an internet site will comprehend.  (Myself included!)

Can someone post the standings, games left, and playoff format.  It looks like Granby and Grassfield are playing for first next week. Is there an auto bid to regionals for regular season.

I do not care if this is a one-off or not. No coach should put a kid into a position to throw 199 in 2 outings.

He really threw well over 200 close to 300 with warm ups & in between innings.

Roland is showing they will do anything to win. 

I am am sure I will get hate mail but if they did this to my grandson I would not keep my mouth shut. 

Granby beat WB 3-2 so if favorites win out there should be 3 2-2 teams.  Anyone know the tie breaker. 

Win and you do not have to worry .

So it does look like GF vs Woodside and GF vs Granby will determine the regular season winner. 

If they are both 3-1 is there a playoff?

I do not believe there is a playoff. 2 way tie then head to head gets the spot. 3 way tie then there is some other way to break the tie. Am not 100% sure of this but have heard it from multiple people.

Logan Keheley went all 5 on the mound. 

Keheley a Sr went the distance. Was big for Grassfield. Now Stallings & Perdue can keep it going. 

i herd there is no playoff for first place if there is a tie between Grassfield and Granby.
