I'd also like to congratulate my son's future coach, Ron Plourde of Skidmore College on his team's resounding Liberty League Tournament Championship win! They began as the fourth seed and had to go through Rensselaer (RPI, ranked 17th in the nation) and St. Lawrence University to gain an automatic bid in the NCAA Tourney. Congrats to Coach...and kids!

PopTime....

I just went one weekend. It was mid April when they played RPI, and then they only played on Saturday. It snowed Saturday night so they cancelled the games Sunday. I would have driven out to see more games, but the weather was so crazy this spring that I didn't want to take the chance of them not playing. I know I would have enjoyed seeing my son, but I also knew that it may have put pressure on him to spend time with me. I respect the fact that he his virtually on-his-own, and didn't want him feeling like he couldn't stick to his normal routine. I didn't want him to think he was expected to "babysit" me!!!!

Next year I am planning on going to more games and will see if I can make the UR vs. Skidmore games. They play at Skidmore in 2008.
TRhit....

If I'm not mistaken, the schools alternate their home-and-away schedules every year. So, it looks like UR and Skidmore are playing at Skidmore the last weekend in March, if the schedule stays the same from year-to-year. I'll also get to Albany for the RPI series. The rivalry is like the Yankees and the Red Sox. UGLY!!!!

I know it's next year, but I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.

We can have a few "pops" with PopTime also.
