Nick has accepted an offer from the University Of Charleston (West Virginia); nothing like playing your home games in college in a gorgeous professional ballpark (Appalachian Power Park, Brewers' Class A field).

This is a wonderful young man, as respectful and honorable as any you'll find; despite being a little under-sized for a catcher, he helped notch the school's first state title in baseball, made the VHSCA all-star game, and now has landed at a very nice school. Good things do happen to good kids!

Seems like Charleston is liking to tap into the VA Class A high schools...
...two kids were freshmen last year from a local "A" school. Congrats to those kids from the smaller schools doing what needed to get their shot at college ball.

My congrats to Nick. Now, the two Barnes brothers (both catchers) have made it to the next level. Strasburg has a lot to proud of.
