Congrats to Zeke's son, Steve Craun, Harrisonburg High School, P/OF for signing on with Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA.

Congrats as well to John Gira IF/OF of Eastern Mennonite High School in Harrisonburg, VA. John too has signed with Randolph Macon College in Ashland, VA.

Both of these two have played for me over the years and are top notch ballplayers and great young men.

Thanks Jeff.
Steve and John were also teammates on the old Harrisonburg Deacons AAU club for a number of years. I'll let others know, as announcements are made, where more of those kids end up.
I can add right now that Patrick Ward went the football route. He will be at JMU next year.

Let me add to Jeff's comments: Congratulations to two fine young men. It says a lot about that Deacons squad that one of the highlights of my younger son's baseball "career" so far was actually beating them once (out of about 10 tries or so it seemed). A very well run program, with classy players and coaches. In my mind, it was a model of how an independent summer team should operate. Ya'll were the inspiration for a lot of teams that you played. Great to see the kids succeed! Between playing for the Sting, and playing against the Deacons, great experience for our guys.
